We got up early and headed out to the farm in Kandal. Upon the arrival the first stop for me is to rub MooMoo Dogs tummy and give him some special love. He loves being out at the farm and living here with all the workers and the freedom of being outside but I am sure he misses living in the apartment where he would get snuggles at nighttime.Unfortunately, I do not like fur dogs as they shed all over the furniture, clothes and me. Because of this MooMoo Dog became a farm dog (my throat also burns and I get headaches around dogs so this this pretty much trumped MooMoo Dog staying with us). The only fear we have is him running into the street; the cars and motorbikes in Cambodia are fast and furious and the chance of survival is not good.
Each and every day Bill is dealing with paperwork, retailers and the govt trying to get one thing or the other approved. It's his very least favorite thing to do (even though he was a CPA in our first few years of marriage).
We usually run out for lunch and take a break away from the farm. This is the little river Tonle Sap River. Most of the rivers, unfortunately, look like this. There is a little canel by our apartment that is just full of trash and 'other' things. It stinks like . . . the bathroom.
Since I do like riding our little scooters this is one of my favorite parts of the day. I love the breeze rushing at my face and clothes! You can never 'not' pay attention while driving because the traffic here is crazy and unforgiving.
Back at the farm everyone is also taking a break and relaxing (even MooMoo Dog is having a nap)!
These sleeping hammocks are the best and they can set them up anywhere ~ they are the best "bed on the go"!
Sometimes there lunch break turns into a couple hours but they are great workers so that is ok!
Our workers have had to learn a whole new system of working which is very labor orientated. There has been a huge learning curb and there have been many mistakes; some small and some chaostrophic episodes; Billy is so great and his attitude towards them is: "just learn by your mistakes and do better next time". That Man has the patience of Job! Here is our new/used delivery truck ~ isn't it just the cutest!
Is this the funniest! The Tuk Tuks have their own parking spots 😂😂😂!
