~pick pocket at siam niramit

The stage of Siam Niramit is certified by
Guinness World Records as the highest in the World.
Robbie, Jamis, Marce, Kenny, Timmy and
Willie getting ready for a Fantastic Evening!
The kids posed by the little elephant who we later found out
was a bit of a pick pocketer (poor Kenny).

~greetings from siam niramit

Upon arrival we were greeted by
beautiful Thai girls giving each of us a corsage!

The Siam Niramit Production is a
reenactment of Thailand’s History.

It starts with the "Journey Back to History" where scene 1
starts with the Religious Faith in the Ancient Kingdom of Lanna

They then travel to The South Sea … Trade from Overseas.

Then comes Issan … Heritage of the Khmer Civilization

and then The Mighty Capital, Ayutthaya (which we visit later in the blog).
It also goes through the Three Realms:
Fiery Hell, the forest of Mystical Himapaan, and Blissful Heaven.

~the garden where the praties grow (8)

This is a shrine right on the main street of
Sukumvit Road. The Thai’s can give to the Shrine
and then the dancers will dance for everyone.

There are people constantly there all the time.

We had our first dinner out at a Thai Restaurant.
It was pretty normal Thai food, not too
spicy but kind of like Chinese food.

Slowly getting Stuffed!

This is Bill's and my Favorite Restaurant

The Best Smoothies Ever!
The Beginning of a Very Great Vacation!!

It was so fun to be together, the babies were finally
getting acclimated (as well as the adults)!

Can't get enough of those yummy noodles and delicious smoothies!

A little Peek-a-Boo with Judda Budda!

~queen of the supermarket (6)

The boys and Nana and Papa are going
grocery shopping at the "Costco" of Thailand . . .
~Makro~

Cute little fellows being silly in the car!!

Jude is still a bit unsure of this new adventure he is on.  All he knows is that every time anyone sees him they want to squeeze his cheeks (at least Timmy is getting some relief as the "chosen one").

Trays and trays and trays of all kinds of dead fish.
All we can say is, "PYOO"  (pee-you)!!!!!
~Even as they enjoyed their ice cream cones~

The boys checking out the 'live' Tilapia Fish, nothing like they see at their local grocers!
Jude making sure him and Papa stay a good distance from those Prawns

This Little Piggy went to Market

Lots and Lots of "Fresh" Meat

Jude knows Papa will protect him!!

The boys were so darling when we were shopping!
They all waited patiently while I ran and gathered up more supplies!
It smells extremely stinky, but they were great sports traveling around in the flat cart.

Jude helped the check out girl with the groceries (and then got some squeezes in return)!

~big baby eli (5)

Nana and Papa took the Boys out to see some Elephants
We didn't have to go far before we saw some elephants on the
side of the road!  We got out and bought some elephant food
(I can't remember if it was bananas or something else).

Luke and Kobe had a fine time feeding the Big Elephant!

We then went over and played with the Baby Elephant.
Even though the elephant was a baby he was very big.

The Elephants were very aggressive and I had to
keep pushing their trunks down so they wouldn’t
be so overwhelming to the boys.

Luke noticed that the Elephants were not as soft as they looked!

Judda Budda was not so sure if riding
the Elephant was such a good idea!

Luker was super excited but he realized that being on
the elephant was not the same as being on a horse
(an elephant feels like it has 2 backbones)!

Kobes felt like he was the King of the Palace!!

Our new little Thai friend, "Sawasdee Krab"

~flying over the date line (4)

Jamis and Marcie ~ Arrival in Thailand ~ Bliss!
The next afternoon Billy and I went and picked up
Marcie and Jamis.  They were the first to leave America
and the last to arrive. There flight took them all over Asia,
having a sleepover in Singapore. It took them 2 days to
finally arrive! They were exhausted but excited!
Marcie at one of the many airports where they had layovers!
Jamis grew up in Germany so these long
continental flights are a 'walk in the park'!
