Ploiesti Media Sora's ~ România 🇷🇴Mission ~

3/18/20

We took a quick trip up to Ploiesti (an hour away) to meet with the "Media" Sora's (Bauco, Smith and Guest) and talk about Facebook strategies.  These girls are so adorable and are doing amazing things with Facebook; contacting, editing Vlogs with music, etc.!  It is so fun to see their ideas and what they have done!

Ploiesti is an important transport hub, linking Bucaresti with Transylvania and Moldavia.  It flourished as a center for trade and handicraft and in the mid-19th century it became the world's leading oil extraction and refinery site.  The city has become a hub of foreign investments but the pay rate is still below average.

It is so fun to leave the city and enjoy the countryside! There is such personality in each of the towns that we travel through.  There are dozens of little shops or just places on the roadside where people are peddling their wares.  The flowers are gorgeous and the fruits and vegetables are so fresh, ripe and delicious.  We picked up a huge bag of potatoes for our YSA, SA, investigators, missionaries and newly baptised members dinner on Sunday!  A very easy potato bar to feed a lot of people!  We absolutely love seeing the gypsies in their horse drawn carts going to and from town.  Billy definitely wants to get a cart when we get back home (I don't know how happy Lady or Cricket would be to be hooked up to one 💜🐴💜)!
